The Marshall Band Scramble is always a crowd favorite at the Marshall Bluegrass Festival. This annual event is organized and hosted by Jan Green. Throughout the week, Jan begins recruiting musicians (professionals & amateurs) to participate in the band scramble, with the bands being drawn and formed on Saturday morning. Each musician kicks in a few dollars to participate and are mixed together to form bands. An hour later, the bands begin to take the stage where they compete for cash prizes, based on audience response. This event has been a longstanding "must see" at the Marshall Bluegrass Festival. It's all in good fun with some pretty dang good music!
